The pseudo-faux-band in the movie was called Ming Tea, and they actually played some live dates in addition to their working on the Austin Powers soundtrack. Also in the band was former MuchMusic VJ Christopher Ward, who played on Allanah Myles chart-topper "Black Velvet" back when.
