Ultimately people buying and listening to it will decide. I'm just noting a
trend in indie rock that is forgoing a concerted effort in musicianship
for more of an overall aesthetic. Like when I hear the Decemberists...
I hear a band that is shouting to be unique but there's a certain low
quality of performance I have a hard time getting past.

f**k it...I'm just over analyzing it. It's only rock n roll...and I
just like singers who can sing well. End of story.
