This is precisely why we haven't seen WKRP on DVD -- licensing issues. I get so infuriated with licensing and copyright law, which is being perverted into purely a profit center instead of a manner of promoting invention and creativity. Monopoly power is exploited, with record companies looking to extort high sums for licensing the songs. No attempt is made to find a reasonable middle ground. As a result, the record company won't get any money, and the DVDs won't come out, and fans will suffer.
