How about we just acknowledge the "Rock & Roll Hall of Fame"
is just another tired promotional gimmick enabling the (mostly) 
Warner Music-affiliated groups and artists to get a little more 
recognition -- and this is due, no doubt, to the fact that the nominating 
committee is mostly made up of former or presently top Warner 
executives and longtime publicity pals who need something more
to write about each year...and an excuse to throw a lavish party 
and concert to get VH-1 to pony up millions of dollars each year
to televise it, thereby ensuring they have the money in the budget 
to pay themselves a salary for doing absolutely nothing.

In other words, congratulations to the Sex Pistols!
