I just got it late this morning, but after 5 full listens, I just want to report the the Squire has done it again! I honestly don't know if there's anyone in indie-pop so has produced such a QUANTITY of QUALITY material these past 10 years or so. The skip button is a 100% moot function when dealing with the recordings of Mr. Chris Earl. The analog production co-helmed by the Squire & Big Boy Pete Miller is wonderful & rocking, the memorable, hook laden songs (one co-written by Rich "Arithmetic" Horton!) reveal a bevy of classic pop/psych influences, a number of standout tracks strike me as Rudy Vallee sitting in during the WHITE ALBUM sessions. Don't hesitate to pick this one ASAP! More info @ NotLame, Kool Kat, or right to the source: http://www.squiresofthesubterrain.com/ -Dan McKenzie
