<<>> I guess Todd's letter to his fans comes as a wake up call to me. Todd is one of my all time heroes, and I just plain assumed that, given the length, breadth, and level of success of his many careers (well, the success part applies to only some of his ventures), he was pretty much set for life. But apparently even Todd has to pay the bills, just like the rest of us schlumps. So, hey, if I were him, I guess I'd do the same thing. There are much worse ways to make money than playing and touring with great musicians who happen to be friends, playing other people's music that you like, as well as some of your own music. I stand corrected. And I hope the tour does well. I'll catch a show, if I get the chance. (Actually, it might be more interesting than seeing the original Cars - I like much of their music, but I think of them as a singles band - I like them best a song or two, or even an album side, at a time. Too many Cars songs in a row leaves me a bit cold. And I thought the band was actually kinda boring on stage.)
