<<<It always leaves me a bit amazed/perplexed
that I can witness something that I would honestly define as
greatness and others wouldn't put down their cue stick or drink to
even check it out. I don't mean that as a they SHOULD have done so
but more simply how strange those moments feel to me.  But yes, I
know, different (cue) strokes for different folks. >>>

Some people have different ideas of what is great and what isn't.

Other people need to be told that something is great, they wouldn't know it
for themselves if it hit them in the face like a 2 x 4.  For instance, if it
is on the radio and playing at the local hockey arena, it is great.  If it
is in a bar in front of 20 people, it isn't.  (Wouldn't it be easy if life
were that simple?) 

And lots of people don't really care one iota about music, great or not -
it's just something that makes noise in the background while they drink or
play pool.

I know how you feel, this is a mystery to me too. Hard to fathom.  It's a
shame, I mean, I get so so much enjoyment out of it, and I wish more people
could get this kind of enjoyment out of it as well.

Well at least the people on this list get it.
