There's another site that I use to look up music in commercials: www.adtunes.com. In doing a search for this track, someone suggested that it might be Ralph World's (aka The Bad Example's Ralph Covert) "Just Like the Monkeys." In listening to a sample, I don't think it is, but then again, I'm not sure if I've heard the commercial. Here's a link to the album with audio clips: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0002VEOIQ/qid=1124887905/ sr=8-4/ref=pd_bbs_4/104-0821612-0849532?v=glance&s=music&n=507846 -----Original Message----- From: audities-owner@smoe.org [mailto:audities-owner@smoe.org] On Behalf Of Joe Rivera Sent: Tuesday, August 23, 2005 10:00 PM To: audities@smoe.org Subject: Re: HP Advertisements The site for songs featured in commercials is http://www.songtitle.info, but I know the commercial you're talking about (for Sears) and I have not been able to find any info on the song either. It's not on the site above. Sounds like a great tune, too. joe Gene Good wrote: > No, that's definitely not it.This is a real light pop voice.Kind of > bouncy. But familiar. > I know there is a site that lists songs used on tv.It may only refer > to regular shows and not commercials. > Thanks for the try. > > >> From: "floatingunder" >> Reply-To: audities@smoe.org >> To: audities@smoe.org >> Subject: Re: HP Advertisements >> Date: Wed, 24 Aug 2005 01:24:17 -0000 >> >> --- In audities@yahoogroups.com, "Gene Good" wrote: >> > Jason, >> > Ok,while you are at it.I recently heard an ad while in another >> room that >> > sounded very familiar.Tried to catch who it was for but it ended >> too soon.I >> > believe it was a K Mart/Target type store. It had a "monkee" in the >> lyrics >> > and ended with "hanging around".Have been looking for it ever >> since.I am >> > sure I know the singer. >> > >> > Gene >> >> >> Hey Gene, >> I'm not Jason but that sounds like "Hanging Around" >> by the Stranglers from Rattus Norvegicus. >> >> Yes? >> Steve D >> >> > > > > > This email and any attachments contain information from Baker & Taylor which may be confidential, privileged and/or protected by other legal rules.
