I haven't seen any discussion of "Fine Line," the new McCartney track 
available on his Web site (to registered subscribers of the mailing 
list, anyway).

I have to say, I'm really looking forward to the new album now. 
Admittedly, I tend to be pretty forgiving toward McCartney, so maybe 
other people will have a more skeptical reaction, but to me it sounds 
great. Bits of it sound almost like something from "Ram" or "Venus and 
Mars," though more than anything it reminds me of a slowed-down version 
of the song "Flaming Pie."

I just wish the audio stream wasn't such lousy quality -- low bandwidth 
and monaural to boot. (Maybe that's where I'm getting the early-'70s 
vibe from...)
