He has something I'll never have, and will never been able to grasp. I'm not so sure that some of the folks here who play music know WHAT A GIFT (curse?) is it to be able to pick up and instrument and have your SOUL come out of it.(?) I think I'll stop now. Definitely not the place to air religious views beyond saying that such reasoning/calling/direction/confusion/entity devotion doesn't compute here *whatsoever*. Thanks for the involvement in all of this, Bruce. Without that, I'm fairly sure we wouldn't have a lot of this great music in our hands from Mr. Powell. I think I'll go throw a brick at Pat Robertson now... And hey...will the real Godd please stand up? <<<<<<< That was offensive. You should've taken your own advice and stopped after the second paragraph, or at least the third. It's a shame that you responded to Bruce without really comprehending what he was saying. This isn't about religious beliefs, nor is it about Doug Powell depriving you of pleasure by his decision to hang up his guitar. This is about empathizing with someone else's struggles to find his path in life. Completely aside from Bruce's own business difficulties within the music industry, as a person he has developed the ability to walk a mile in someone else's shoes. You could learn a thing or two from him. Gregory Sager
