The Decemberists have undergone a remarkable live transformation over 
the last year or so, from a typical indie non-entity with little in 
the way of stage presence into a hugely enjoyable and dynamic live 
act.  (The addition of Petra Haden on violin and backing vocals, as 
well as a new and much better drummer, are both giant improvements.) 
Please do try to see them live -- you'll be pleasantly surprised.
