I will report soon about all the new Parallax Project developments since I finally took my formal meeting with them over the weekend. BUT, that email has to look "professional" so I'll wait until I have more time. ( their MySpace page is up again http://www.myspace.com/parallaxproject ) For now, I'd like to AGAIN recommend a band I "discovered" on MySpace last year. They are called Tally Hall and hail from Ann Arbor, MI. Here are some links for info and a taste: http://www.indie911.com/tally-hall http://www.tallyhall.com A couple of months ago, they made a little internet splash with a goofy video for a song called Banana Man. Beyond that, they are one of those multi-talented, frighteningly young and clever bands, who actually DO THEIR OWN THING instead of sounding like what's on the radio or whatever. I have had their initial e.p. for a while now and really enjoyed it. They just happened to be playing a show in Harrisburg, PA when I was there so I finally got to see them live and it was one of the better shows I've seen in a LOOONNNGGGG time. 4 part harmonies, great keyboard riffs, excellent covers choices (the Manfred Mann version of "Blinded By The Light" for one...) Anyway...check it if you are up for something quirky... anna Anna Borg AIM: cakeab TallBoy Records P.O. Box 27757 Los Angeles, CA 90027-0757 http://www.tallboyrecords.com http://www.myspace.com/anna23
