Nothing against the older album...apparently it's got a song from the OC on it that made it to the 
soundtrack for the show...but having gone to iTunes to sample the first disc it was very obvious that
they are heading in a more "Auditier friendly" direction now.  
The new stuff kinda reminds me of the first Phantom Planet album,
song-wise, which I loved.  Very smart pop with cool chord changes, and all. 
Their earlier stuff was, well, earlier stuff.
They've gotten much, much better, imho.
Can't wait to hear the full length.
