they both gave me a headache when i worked with them...
all the inter band break ups & turmoil and what-ever... :)
at one point attic records had to choose which of the two groups that split
from Hot Tip could be Hot Tip (!!)

somewhere in my photo archive, i have a great mod photo shoot I did
with the Numbers (anyone googling & re-issuing that lp, call me!)

sometimes having worked with the musicians really ruins good music for me
both are good records - i can't listen to them, however...

  the cool bass player ended up fronting Pretty Green, one of the first
Nettwerk releases...

speaking of toronto mod bands - The Mods (aka The News) are apparently
thinking of re-uniting for a one-off show next year. These guys were 
the real deal
and smoked The Numbers/Hot Tip (pun intentional) any day of the week.. amazing
band with David Quinton on drums (later with Stiv bators)
