Minor correction ... The band in the Sheraton ad was Convoy. They had a nice Badfingeresque pop record called Black Licorice a few years ago. I still play it from time to time. Anyway, Convoy went kaput and the two main guys are now the core of Louis XIV. That single is pretty irritating, but I'm a little curious to hear the record based on how much I liked Convoy. Sadly (for me, anyhow), Convoy really sucked live the one time I saw them. Though they sounded great on record, those guys couldn't sing worth a damn in the club. Any San Diego people have see them on better nights?
