Hi Bob, I made my first trip to Toronto back in March. A great city indeed! As you may know, the city has great public transportation options, so explore with ease! By far our favorite Restaurant was one called Serra (on Bloor Street). It's perhaps midrange in price but I highly recommend it. Really terrific food and a nice atmosphere. However, the thing is there is a lot of great places to eat in Toronto. And yes, be sure to get a hotdog from a street vendor. As Stewart and Jamie said the zoo is fabulous. And no, we didn't see it all. The museum downtown is being worked on (and a strange site that is). However, it's still worth the visit. Many of these places have times with no charge or ways of buying passes to lessen the expense to see the various sites. My wife and daughter went to a shoe museum and loved it. It has not only famous footwear and footwear across cultures and through history. So, that may or may not be your idea of a fun time. I believe they even have Elton John's pinball wizard shoes but they were not on display when my family went. There also is that castle that was built in the early 1900's. I'm sure it's considered a bit of a tourist trap but I thought it was pretty cool and the top floor is a great view of the city. If you were bringing the kids again, I'd say do it for sure. We stayed near the west end of the city (I hope my geography is still intact) near the University of Toronto. It really a lovely city, have a great time. Steve D
