I'm still waiting on my box from Amazon.com! The biggest problem with collecting the original Cameo/Parkway 45's is they pressed 'em on cheap vinyl or styrene, brittle hard plastic that wears out quick on a heavy tonearm. They didnt spend much care with the mastering either - even new copies had distortion. Any rare stereo or is it all mono? NP: Weezer - This is Such A Pity. A big songwriting improvement over "Maladroit", but Rivers and Co sound a little too confortable on this CD. "Beverely Hills" sounds like a lost FOW song, right down to the 70's guitar solo. The new American Hi-Fi disc sounds like they listened to a lot of FOW lately too.. Billy Michael McCartney wrote: >Sending a shout out to both Billy and Judy. I picked up that Cameo-Parkway box yesterday and it is a nice set. Anyone else interested in those wonderful records from 57-67 will go bonkers. I've had some of these songs on CD taken from vinyl years back but it sounds so good in more official release. Still amazing that many of these songs have not been available at all in the digital age. > >Now it's time to save up for that Rupert Holmes Box Set. I've got most of the albums except for his last release on Atlantic so this set should be a blast especially with that last disc filled with his other projects. > >Aloha, >Michael McCartney >KEAO/ KONI / KPMW / KTOH > >Now Playing: "Play On" - The Raspberries > >. > > >
