Wow... she's playing here in OKC next Thursday at the Blue Door. Nice article in today's paper with a picture that motivated me to read the article. Sounds intriguing. http://www.newsok.com/article/1498416/?template=entertainment/main J&J Giddings wrote: A quick note to acknowledge one of the better live performances I've seen in my life. Aslyn played a 45 minute set to a packed Eddies Attic in Atlanta last Tuesday night. She had a drummer and bassist for most of the songs and covered "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" which gave me chills. But those weren't the only chills I recieved over the course of her set. She belted out songs from Lemon Love like they were what kept her alive. My wife and I were stunned at the range and power this young lady displayed. Her playing was flawless and the songs really had a chance to shine in this stripped down setting. She never missed a note and DID NOT sing to a track. 8-) She writes her own material, and as it turns out wrote most of it a good 3 years ago, so she was pretty young for the depth of some of the songs. For all of the crap that is on the radio these days even "Be The Girl" shines a small beacon of hope for actual singer/songwriters who sound NOTHING like Dave Matthews. For the love of Goodness almighty, YES, some of her songs ARE a little immature, lyricaly, but the ones that are good are VERY, very good. Which leads me to beleive that there's only room to grow for this genuinely sweet Atlantan.
