I remeber seeing these records back when I was much younger. I was 
always intrigued, but never heard them. I finally saw Tom Rapp in

The first gig I went to was Beach Boys, Brummels, Raiders and Tikis.. 
The Tikis morphed into Harpers Bizaar when the added Jon Peterson from 
the Brummels on drums. The Tikis deal was they wore suits with short 
pants (suppose to be surf baggies).

I managed to colleced all they albums over the years. I think my hi 
school g/f had the first album, so I heard it a lot. There are some 
great non lp b-sides, so be sure to check any early singles you see.

I just found a poster for the Who and Millenium from a 1968 gig in San 
Jose I didn't go to! I have a lot of his stuff including the 
Greenbriars. I actually just listened to his solo album this week, but I 
can't say I was floored.

I played their first album all the time when I was young. It was always 
a treat when you'd turn up another single... I saw Argent and Colin 
Blunstone back when... I prefered Colin by a lot. Amazing..

The first good gig I saw in Bozeman after I moved here in '80. Dan 
Vallor (road manager) had a brother here, so they played a radio 
benifit. Amazing. There was even talk of the tape of that gig getting a 
proper release. I always bug Scott about it when I see him... the last 
time was in the audience at the Fillmore to see the Soft Boys. I asked 
him if he ever expected to be there hearing that. When they came here 
the first time they figured we didn't know any music, so they kept 
yapping about the Soft Boys and Big Star... They were sort of surprised 
when I explained that I'd been clued in longer than they had.

I really like the Alternate Learning (pre GT) EP he did... there is a 
killer song on that.

Alec would be pleased. I think I rather hear this than most of the stuff 
he does now. The Magic Christians was a major dissapointment. Hope Cyril 
doesn't screw the pooch and kill this band before they make a good record.
