Ken,
  Just wanted to let you know I am a huge Ornette fan.I even have his 
wonderful box set.Just the album titles were revelatory:"Shape of Jazz to 
come","This is Our Music","Free Jazz"etc. Amazing stuff with lots of humour 
in there as well.I love Coltrane and Monk as well ,but Ornette is special.I 
was lucky enough to have seen him several times at the Jazz Showcase in 
Chicago, and saw the Pat Metheny/Ornette tour.
