Yes, The Groovie Goolies did put out an album in 1970 (self-titled) on RCA. I didn't think Ron Dante or Andy Kim were involved, however. The 10 songs (including the theme) were all credited to "Martin- Gayden", two songwriters I'm not familiar with. Producers were Norm Prescott, Ed Fournier and Dick Monda (the last two are credited as background vocalists as well). So much for production...the album is great! It's about half bubblegum, half novelty, and the bubblegum songs are very Hardy Boys- ish, if you ask me. "Save Your Good Lovin' For Me" and "We Go So Good Together" are the best of the bunch. I agree, Billy. The Ron Dante solo album is also very good. Not much different than the latter Archies albums. "Let Me Bring You Up" is one of my all-time favorite songs. Love those Archies.
