I had a roommate at college in 1980 who used to play the hell out of a Pavlov's Dog album (and the Dictators, the MC5 and Blue Oyster Cult ). There was ONE song on that album that I remember loving. If only I could remember the name of it, I'd try to track it down. It had to be the most melodic (accessible) song on the record with the fewest shrieking vocals. If anyone remembers the name of a (possible) "single" from that album, please post up! Thanks! There was also a way-cool sampler from that era with the word "China" in it also, I remember the label was white, and it sampled some of those same type bands. Jeez, talk about a distant, blurry memory. We, of course, lasted about 6 months with that roommate line-up, evicted after Winter Session for lifting metal weights out on the cement apartment balcony (clang!!) and blasting MC5 at all hours. What a bunch of stark-raving idiots we were. I should send out a blanket apology to every single person in that apartment complex who's hard-working lives we constantly disrupted. Well, at least I learned the BOC catalog, forever grateful for that, if nothing else from those daze. Jeff T. Del. NP: Blue Oyster Cult: Spectres (still on vinyl)
