<> Thanks for asking, Mr. Popdude. The release show was a blast. The rock gods were kind enough to divert a blizzard for us. Who says there's no power left in rock? Bleu, Spiraling, The Argument, and The Cautions were kind enough to come out for the party. They each played full sets of original material, plus their contribution to the CD. As an added bonus Bleu joined The Cautions for a version of "Let's Go". And The Argument backed Bleu on his version of "You Might Think". (If The Argument make their way to your town, check them out. Awesome live band) The highlight of the night, however, was the appearance of Cars' keyboardist Greg Hawkes. He came out with synthesizer in tow. The one he used to record the debut album with. Very cool. He joined Spiraling for a spirited version of "Just What I Needed". To hear that familiar keyboard line again, and in person no less, was a beautiful thing. What a nice fella. And he's a big fan of the tribute, which is a cool thing indeed. All in all, a great time was had by all. It was like 1984 all over again. Fortunately there were no parachute pants in sight. pk http://www.notlame.com/thecars.htm
