For me "Blues Moves" was his last blast of greatness. Since then, besides the occasional nice single ("Empty Garden" was a fav), nothing has really interested me. The drag of being a solo artist really....he was Elton John, and still is...no escaping it. The individual Beatles were able to slide creatively (I still love the solo stuff, but it frequently did not come close to the Fabs stuff together)....while "The Beatles" remain great and forever young. For me Sir Elton John bears no resemblance musically to the Elton of 1969-1976. His mid 70's music was such a joy. Lot's of interesting sounds, vocals and jangles mixed with the piano work. Those singles are still great fun to listen to. But now, all we got is a professional entertainer. Such a waste. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The all-new My Yahoo! - Get yours free! http://my.yahoo.com
