Actually I think "Rock of the Westies" is probably one of Elton's most underrated albums... The album grows on you and it has more of a gritty, rocky edge than any of his previous (perhaps signaling that Taupin/John were becoming hardened and that the "downhill" was just around the corner)... but songs like "Yell Help" and "I Feel Like a Bullet in the Gun of Robert Ford" are still, imho, classic Bernie/Elton colaborations... Prior to that "Captain Fantastic" is, once again imho, one of the best autobiographical rock albums I've ever listened to... "Someone Saved My Life Tonight" still sends chills and when heard in concert it just crescendos throughout the arena and reminds everyone there that Elton was/still is one of unsurpassed masters... Cheers, Miguel
