If anyone reading this has recommendations for me based on what you see on my 2004 list, please send them on! 1. (tie) SLOAN: Action Pact. With the single of the year "The Rest of My Life". BRIAN WILSON: SmiLe. If I hadn't seen the live show, this probably wouldn't have ranked as high. But seeing the show got this one lots more play and appreciation. 3. TEARS FOR FEARS: Everybody Loves a Happy Ending. 4. THE DOTTED LINE: s/t. Rush to www.notlame.com for this gem right now! A few weeks ago, this might have placed lower, but it ascends with each listen. Beautiful stuff! 5. PILLBUGS: Happy Birthday. Some of the stickiest melodies of the year. Just "Delicious"! 6. PHIL ANGOTTI: Juliette Foster Original Soundtrack. The quiet time CD of the year. Lyrically a bit too "moon, june, spoon", but still a very deep and mature work. 7. AC NEWMAN: The Slow Wonder 8. KEANE: Hopes & Fears 9. OWSLEY: The Hard Way 10. JASON FALKNER: Bliss Descending. OK, if this doesn't qualify, it'll make an even top 20. 11. NEAL MORSE: One. Moreso for the bonus disc, but still a very powerful work. 12. RUSTY ANDERSON: Undressing Underwater. OK, if this is a '03 release, it'll make an odd top 19. 13. U2: How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb 14. CLIFF HILLIS: Better Living Through Decompression 15. MICHAEL CARPENTER: Rolling Ball 16. HEART: Jupiter’s Daughter 17. ZOMBIES: As Far As I Can See 18. RAQUEL’S BOYS: Music for the Girl You Love 19. MERCY ME: Undone 20. LOLAS: Something You Outta Know 21. DAVID GRAHAME: Eric Joe Field Flying Colors Comics & Other Cool Stuff http://FlyingColorsComics.com
