Well.. I've not really purchased a whole lot this year that was new. Mostly I've been quenching my vinyl hankering. Needless to say, I've been listening to a 10 CD comp of mostly obscure 70's songwriters that Robert Pally put together and offered to the list a few months ago. That's like 260 songs and artists, people. I've boiled it down to 3 full CD's. Sure, there were some well known artists like Andrew Gold, Paul Davis, Larry Norman, and Nick Gilder but the plethora of unknowns is astounding and enlightening. I have since collected most of the works of John Miles(especially the albums "Rebel" and "Zaragon"), and now need to hear more from some of the many, many artists on this comp- including: Neil Harrison Mark Radice Peter Straker Kaz Lux Gordon Michaels and a couple 40+ others...yikes! 8-) Just wanted to give props to Mr. Pally for going to the trouble and to encourage ya'll to check it out. Well worth the trade. ...so much for quenching the vinyl pangs... later, joe www.jtgimplosion.com www.kingfriday.com
