I guess it was included on > the > rereleased CD but still...just a thought.. Actually, it was never meant to be on THE BIG SHOT CHRONICLES, which Fred Juhos doesn't appear on! It was recorded in late 1984 or early 1985, during early sessions for the previous album, REAL NIGHTTIME, but the original lineup of Game Theory split up before that album was released (that's why only Scott Miller was pictured on the cover) and since Fred was no longer in the band, his song was dropped from the track lineup. When Alias did the reissue of BSC, they stuck "Faithless" and a couple of other tunes on the end as bonus tracks, but they really don't have anything to do with the album proper. I had an off-and-on email correspondence with Fred Juhos close to 10 years ago -- he's the guy who first hipped me to the Cardigans! -- and for what it's worth, he said that "Faithless" was the only song he ever wrote for Game Theory that he's at all proud of, and that it's "about" the fact that he regretted that he hadn't made better use of his time in the group. For a couple years, the only Game Theory song I'd ever heard was Fred's "I Wanna Get Hit By A Car," which got occasional airplay on Texas Tech's college station when I was in high school in Lubbock. So when I heard "Erica's Word" in late '86, my first thought was "When did Game Theory get a new lead singer?" S
