Jeff, I agree with Stewart. I like the album _and_ just as soon as you come onboard we're gonna do a gotcha. On the other hand - I do recall that you listed what I think is one of the finest sleeper albums of the year on YOUR top twenty list. Hardly anyone has mentioned Sleep Station's "After the War" and I just adore that album. Not since I heard the first couple tracks from the Scud Mountain Boy's "Massachusetts" have I enjoyed an album that so clearly draws inspiration from early 70's AM crossing to FM radio without sounding as though it was _trying_ to do that (and only that). Fans of Bread, Dear 23-era Posies (esp that Stringfellow), etc. would probably eat these goodies up. Sleep Station. MmmmmmZZZZZZZZzzzzz. -craig -----Original Message----- From: audities-owner@smoe.org [mailto:audities-owner@smoe.org] On Behalf Of AssociationWorks Sent: Thursday, January 06, 2005 9:23 AM To: audities@smoe.org Subject: Re: Top 20 of 2004 poll update It still baffles me to see Franz Ferdinand in the top 10 among mostly "pure pop" stuff like Eugenene Edwards, Cliff Hillis, Candy Butchers, Smile, etc... I guess you gotta believe the hype! Jeff
