Speaking of Queen...

So, I went to Las Vegas for a little pre-holiday
weekend fun.  Decided on seeing "We Will Rock You"
which is a Broadway style musical based around the
songs of Queen.

We went in with no expectations, I had heard mixed
reviews.  If you like the music of Queen, I feel the
songs were performed in a way that gave them justice. 
The male and female leads were great.  The story is a
little silly, I was able to suspend cynicism for the
duration of the show.  BUT...there's MORE.

After the final scene, the cast comes out to do a
massive rendition of "Bohemian Rhapsody"  It sounds
amazing (this show is backed with a live band, not
backing tracks.)  ALL OF A SUDDEN, BRIAN FREAKING MAY
appears on a hydraulic lift coming out of the floor. 
He played all the solos from the song, and did some
improvisation afterwords.  The theater was in complete
chaos, people were rushing the stage...it was just
unreal.  We were in the second row and he was
practically in my lap.  I don't know what else to say
about it really....he only performed that one night,
we had no idea it was going to happen and I'm still a
little shell shocked.

That's the thing with Las Vegas I guess...you never
know what's going to happen next.
