No no no no no no no..... tribute shows, no never, ever! "Perry R. Stearns" wrote: > Happy to hear others have enjoyed these fine shows. I saw those early tours, Selling England and Lamb, and the next two, er not so exciting. Seeing a synthetic Phil Collins sounds worse than death. Did they have a dorky guitar player with horn rims? Sorry this whole concept is well beyond comprehension... at least to me... I was appalled when I went to see a band my brother was told was good. The headliner was "Super Diamond" a fccing Neil Diamond trib... arg. It's the Beatlemania syndrome. People accepting these things blindly.... I didn't let Marshall Creanshaw off easy about that when I interviewed him. He said he was sort of embarrassed about it.... Tribute bands are another cause for the slow death of original live music... video gambling is another... now I must go take a shower to get the suspect smell of talk of trib bands off me.
