Hello all, As mostly a lurker on this list, I would very much like to see more discussion of good pop music and less focus on list trolls. Anyhoo, back to music. I have to second Brent's post about Chris Stamey's new record, _Travels in the South_. For over(?) a decade he has been involved in producing some fine pop music (especially The Mayflies USA). I think most commentators focus on his work with the DBs. I think that overlooks what he has done as a solo artist. I believe that this new record is great. I especially like "14 Shades of Green," "Kierkegaard" and "Ride." There is a similar feel to _It's Alright_ without being derivative. I would love to hear what others think. Maybe there was and I just missed it. At any rate, just wanted to give a hearty recommendation for this album. It's available on Emusic if you are a member there. Great stuff, and probably one of the more enjoyable Stamey releases since "It's Alright", though his others have all had their moments. Cheers! Brent
