Thought I'd mention this, as it seems like something that would appeal to auditeers. Former The Grip, Wildhearts, Honeycrack and Sugarplumfairies singer/multi-instrumentalist Willie Dowling has relaunched himself, along with his new band Jackdaw4. From the clips I've heard so far, I'm hearing quite a few powerpop parallels. In fact, it can only be described as powerpop, I think. I'd be surprised if it didn't appeal to Owsley fans. You can hear four tracks from the new album here: http://www.myspace.com/jackdaw4/ I think it's safe to say that the new stuff is far more Jellyfish than Wildhearts - he was the temporary keyboard player in the WH, if anyone's interested. The band's website is http://www.jackdaw4.com/ Matt.
