Sour grapes and all that. There's a lot of music discussed on this list and it's fair to say while the bulk of discussion seems to focus on pure pop music, there's a lot of other musical interests that don't fall under the "Power Pop" umbrella that are being discussed as well. A lot of open minds on this list. I myself enjoy a lot of power pop but I don't like it all, which makes me glad there's a diverse world of other music styles out there for me to get into. Like Sly Stone, for one. Bill Date: Sun, 31 Oct 2004 21:08:10 EST From: Donmand@aol.com To: audities@smoe.org Subject: Re: How Sly Changed the Face of Music? To think that Phil Spector was considered a talented producer? Let's just change the name from the Audities Digest to the Sly Fan Club. That way you can discuss.....all Sly all the Time! Obviously he's been a BIG INFLUENCE on most everyone's musical tastes on this digest board.....but mine! Don __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Y! Messenger - Communicate in real time.
