I got tangled up with Greg back in the early 70's when him, Marty Cerf and Ken Barns were working for UA and doing the Bomp! mag. When they realized I worked on radio as well as in a major San Jose record shop, they started sending me boxes of promos. It was through them that I connected with Andrew Lauder at UA in London. These two connections changed my life in more ways than I can imagine. One of the many things Greg did for me was to send Cyril Jordan down to my shop with a copy of You Tore Me Down. A few years ago Gregg Kostelich made sure to introduce me to Greg S at the LV Grind. (that or the Shakedown, too many drinks)...Greg was very charming, and remembered me from 25 years earlier. In the end I was able to put Greg and Andrew Lauder back in touch, which earned me a thanks from both. Yeah, Greg probably influenced all of us in one way or another. As I always say, people like that may shed their mortal coil, but they live for ever.
