I used to DJ for my college's radio station, and a girl called up all
the time to request Tegan & Sara stuff from that prior album you
mention.  I'd never heard of them and I, too, am usually unimpressed
with female vocalists, but I found them quite listenable (which is
more than you could say for a lot of stuff we played on the radio,
especially the requests).
