I dont know if PV&R were the greatest garage band ever, but they were the most
resiliant to all the fast moving trends of the 60's, proably due to good
management, a bunch of lineup changes, being on TV and touring all the time
with strong record company support from Columbia.

1) Northwest frat party rock (chronicled on "Mojo Workout!")
2) Classic LA garage rock and pop (Just like Us - to - Spirit of '67)
3) Pop/Bubblegum with groovy Psychedelic touches (Revolution! -  Something's
Happening - Hard and Heavy - Alias Pink Puzz)
4) One LP stab at Soul-R&B (Goin' To Memphis - a very underrated album)
5) A very strange Christmas album (Christmas Past and Present)
5) One LP stab at hard progressive rock (Collage)
6) MOR Pop (Indian Reservation & Country Wine, and Lindsey's sappy solo
albums)

Greatest garage band? My (tough) choice would go to the Sonics.
