Gary Pig once told me that Apple Records has a 50 year business plan for ongoing Beatles projects which began in earnest starting with the Anthologies. We've now seen anniversary re-issues of The White Album, Yellow Submarine and Let It Be (the last two, albeit in altered states). It makes sense that next up for official UK re-masters would be Abbey Road -- to close the final chapter of the band's output.
