It's been a great week in music here too (I'll try to post on Love/Zombies later whom I saw last night). Mike said.. Saw Adam and his Chaos band last night. Adam played hear in Minneapolis on Tuesday night. Sadly, it was the night of the Twin's first game in the playoffs, the VP debates AND the Rock the Vote tour was here. I kept waiting to read "the Pope is hosting a Viking's football discussion group brunch featuring his favorite "hot-dishes", polka to follow the brunch" but luckily that didn't happen. Anyway, the crowd size was a disappointment to me per these events that did take place. What I am continually amazed by is Adam as a performer. The show size was small but Adam gave every inch of his heart and soul in the performance. He's the James Brown of indie pop. Great show. They did the Mitchell cover in Minneapolis and it was great. The people I knew who came and saw him for the first time were completely floored. Evie Sands simply blisters on guitar and has a lovely voice. What's more, meeting Adam and band mates they are really great people. What a pleasure. My word of advise...catch them, for who knows when you'll get this chance to see this band again. I bought Adam's new disc and per my crazy schedule and work stuff I've only heard it once. However, it clearly has some of his best stuff and many textures. As you may know, the disc features great guest performers too. I also picked up an Evie Sand's disc and man, what a voice! I got the mid 70's disc and now I know I'm bound to pick up more in the future. Well, that's all for now.. Steve D NP: Wondermint's "Mind if we make love to you". Probably me fav disc by them. I bet I'm in the minority on this list, right? The second track could be on BB's LOVE YOU.
