Why yes, I believe I can help with the Edwards/Hillis/Wisely/Marsland portion of the question. :) Eugene Edwards/Cliff Hillis/Willie Wisely is at the Lizard Lounge, Mass Ave., Cambridge. Show is Thursday, 10/14 and tix are just $7 (I'd like to see Brian Wilson beat that!). Admission is 21+. The venue serves great food and drinks, too. It's going to be a blast. Doors are at 9pm, music starts at 9:30 with Eugene Edwards kicking things off. Do come visit us! Then come back to the Lizard the following evening for Adam Marsland and SNMNMNM. This bill is still being finalized -- special guests will be added within the next day or so -- but if you haven't heard SNMNMNM, you should. Their instrumentation is guitar, drums, accordion and tuba. I kid you not. They're amazing. Same deal as Thursday: $7/21+/9pm. AND! While we're on the subject, if you're going to be in town for October 12th (Tuesday), come to the Paradise Lounge on Commonwealth Ave in Boston for the monthly Candy Butchers "Mix Tape" show. If you haven't heard me prattling about this yet, it's a loose, experimental, cabaret-style show hosted by Mike Viola of the Candy Butchers, with a rotating cast of characters and special guests. Candy Butchers and special guests each perform sets of original material, and then we mix things up a bit with the whole ensemble collaborating on some amazing cover tunes, and even pulling notable local talent out of the audience to join in. Plus, of course, the usual wisecracks and hijinks. Among the special guests at the October 12th show will be bassist Dan Weinkauf of They Might Be Giants "Band of Dans," possibly (though unconfirmed) Scott Klass of the mighty Davenports, and definitely (confirmed!) the Animators. Additional special guests TBA. See http://www.bostonpopunderground.com for details as they unfold. And feel free to email me offlist with any questions. See ya soon! -Andrea > Okay, I see that Brian Wilson is at the Orpheum in Boston on Thursday 10/14, > and that same night there is a Eugene Edwards/Cliff Hillis/Willy Wisely show > somewhere in Boston; then, Adam Marsland is in Boston on 10/15.
