I agree wholeheartedly with Anna’s assessment of John Hoskinson’s album. It is
a glorious, melodic record steeped in the classic singer-songwriter tradition,
and a must-have. Really swell stuff.

I think that after many years of lurking here, I’ve finally mastered that fine
art, so I’m upgrading myself to participant. I’ve been in self-imposed
retirement for too long; I’ve missed a lot, and I’m looking forward to being
part of the discussion from here on in.

I started writing a soapbox kind of column for fufkin a few months ago, and
I’ve really been enjoying it. It got my writing mojo working for me again, so
I’ve decided to start up a new site to help me get back in the swing of
things. The site’s called buhdge, and it’s been up for a few days. I’m working
toward broadly covering pop culture, so I won’t just be writing about music,
but also TV, movies, books, and general pop culture happenings. There’s also a
daily blog. It feels good to be back, flexing my writing muscles. I hope you
will all visit and enjoy what you see.
