Brian, you are not alone (to quote The Flying Elephants).  The YP CD's 
were---and still are, to me---the barometer against which all other pure pop comps 
should be measured.  Jordan Oakes was sort of like the Donnie Kirshner of the 
indie power pop scene (except with longer hair and cornier jokes).
