Guess I need to catch up on IPO reporting :-) 7/20 show - The night opened to mellow sounds of The Owls. I didn't even need my ear plugs for this set. The Owls would be good for late at night when you want to relax. The rest of the evening however pretty much rocked. I really enjoyed Dolour and Shapes of Race Cars. It was fun hearing Shapes of Race Cars do rocked out version of Neil Diamond's, I Am I Said. Tsar and The Vacation were a bit too rockin for my taste. Lots of screaming going on during those sets. 7/18 show - The band that really hit me that night was the Breakup Society. Gotta love the Robin Zander song that's on the IPO cd. I did buy their cd. Kenny Howes gave an outstanding performance with his "Christmas Tree" guitar. This was one of the best sets I've seen from Kenny. I also really enjoyed Barry Holdship's set but then again I always do. Barry's new cd Ruff Trax is supposed to out soon. I was fortunate to be given 8 tracks off of this cd and if you like your pop with a country edge you are going to really like this. 7/17 show - Another good night. Highlight for me was the Double Naught Spies shows. They have always been one of my favorites. So I was very happy when Rick decided to do a reunion show. You catch me back at the merch table singing away to their tunes. Are we going to be seeing more of the Double Naught Spies???? Rick? Walter Clevenger, Saucy Monky and the Brilliant Mistakes also put on really good sets. I did find out that Steve Barton's new cd will be available at his show on 7/31. Yippee.....I have been waiting for that one. Catch you at the next show Cathy
