From my friend who posted the original message about the PC being at the center of one's stereo system. << Rip all cd's and vinyl to uncompressed wav format. Hard drive space is now cheap enough to economically do that. The price and capacity of iPod like devices will only decrease/increase over time as well. Keep both a wav and an mp3 of each song on the computer drive and use the mp3 for the iPod. In a few years, that won't be necessary. If and when the record companies only offer music in a compressed format (they won't) then these guys should get stirred up. MP3, RA, AAC, WMA, etc are all stopgaps until broadband is truly broadband (30mbps) as it is already in South Korea and Japan. >> Judy
