It is true that WW was part of the Conquerors early on but only for a short time before moving to LA. The Conquerors played IPO Chicago 2003 (opening night) at the Subterranean. They are formed from the ashes of Minneapolis mod darlings the Spectors (who do have a cd on Get Hip) but as far as I know the Conquerors do not have any cds on Get Hip. They played the same night as the Goldstars and shared similar sounds(60s Nuggets type stuff along with the mod influences. they even mention Graham Bond and early Yardbirds.). The lead singer kind of resembled Elvis Costello but decked out in neo mod leather scooter wear playing Steve Nieve's farfisa. I enjoyed their set.
