I just get nervous when Pet Sounds is such an achor for everything Beach Boys. It's like the Sgt Peppers line. I like both of those albums plenty but those bands did so much it's hard to wrap everything around them. I used the word misinformed because there are so many, who as you've said never heard anything else. Sorry it's just me who thinks songs like Chug A Lug and Farmers Daughter are as good as anything Brian Wilson wrote. Don't get me wrong or worse take my comments as directed straight back at you.
