My sainted mother Ruth who passed away last year was among the worlds most
fervent Ray Charles fans. I have no doubt that she's seated by him at his
piano right now while he dedicates Georgia On My Mind to her.

One of the most wonderful shows I ever attended was taking her to see him at
a small supper club. His talent was beyond transcendental and for the ages.
