I remember an radio interview with Mick Fleetwood who said the song supposed to end side one on Rumors, but they would have to cut the stampers for the LP at a poor quality low volume (like K-Tel) so they opted to leave it off and use it as a B-side. >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Stewart Mason" >> It occurred to me yesterday, when the song in question popped up on my >iPod >> in shuffle mode, that the main knock against AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAY is >> that for some reason it doesn't include "She's Always In My Hair," the >flip >> of the "Raspberry Beret" single and one of Prince's best songs from that >> period. Many of Prince's less serious and more personal tracks (like "Hello" - about a photographer who jumped in his limo to get his picture in 1985) wound up as B-sides. It was almost manditory to buy his 45's back then just because so many times they were as good as the A. "Erotic City" would have fit in nicely on the "Purple Rain" soundtrack too - it got more spins at frat parties at my university in 1984 than anything else from that LP. "Horny Toad" and "Scarlet Pussy" (by Camille) are also fun jams. Billy G. Spradlin http://listen.to/jangleradio
