Dear Audities

This is a hard letter to write.  Nobody likes to admit
they were wrong, or even that they are second guessing
their choices.  It’s just that my friends keep telling
me you’ve changed.  They say you’ve been really nice
lately, that you’ve turned over a new leaf.  It’s hard
to bury the hurt, but maybe I should swallow my pride
and give you another chance.

There were good times…remember that time I got excited
about a band?  And you got excited too?  I’ll never
forget it.  Oh man…and remember when we debated mono
and stereo?  We were so young….

There’s just so much in my life I want to share with
you.  I got a new haircut!  I’ve been listening to a
lot of new music!  I’m finally putting out cds again
on my label!

These weeks apart have been great, I’ve gotten a lot
done, but I think I’m ready to commit now, ready to
brush off your bad moods and stick to the topic at
hand…”insanely great pop.”

Please take me back.  I’ll make it worth your while….
