Hahaha. I've been singing their praises around here for awhile... it's always 
sort of surprised me because they're probably one of the most popular current 
power-pop bands (even the emo kids call them that now) and yet not many here 
seem to like them. Actually, only their first album, "Four Minute Mile", 
really sounds like noisy emo. Beginning with their masterpiece "Something To Write 
Home About" (1999) they really became a power-pop band pure and simple, and 
their two full lengths since ("On a Wire" and the new one, "Guilt Show") have 
explored even poppier territory, with the former showing off a massive Beach 
Boys fascination. "Guilt Show" is one of my favorite albums of the year so far.

Also, their covers/rarities album "Eudora" is a lot of fun and has some great 
covers of bands as diverse as David Bowie, The Pixies, The Replacements, The 
Cure, New Order, Motley Crue, and more.
